Cevikce's debut album as a leader, "A New Abode", is now available
from SteepleChase Records. Since 2003, Sila has been writing music and
performing with her new band which resulted in the recording of A NEW
ABODE. The members of the band are all master musicians in their own right.
Saxophonist Rich Perry has been one of the most sought after performers
of the New York City jazz scene since late 70’s. He has performed
with some of the most talented musicians in jazz including Paul Bley,
Joe Henderson, Lee Konitz, Maria Schneider, Rufus Reid, Richie Beirach,
Renee Rosnes, Billy Drummond, Billy Hart and Fred Hersch.
Bassist Adam Armstrong who has been hailed as "a hero of Australian
improvised music" has performed with Kenny Wheeler, Kenny Kirkland,
Billy Cobham and Mike Nock among others. Ari Hoenig has been named one
of the “drummers of the future” by Downbeat magazine. His
performance credits include Kenny Werner, Joshua Redman, Mike Stern and
Joe Lovano.
